Spinsonic Hula Hoop & Circus Club starts on the 27th January 2018, from 3-4pm in the Sports Hall at The Blue Coat School, Somerset Road, Harborne.
The Sports Hall has disabled access and there is plenty of onsite parking.
What to Expect
Hula hooping and circus skills in a relaxed, drop in session for fun, practice, skill share and social get together! No formal instruction, a play session and place to learn together and from each other. I'll show beginners how to get started and be on hand to help throughout the session. you can take part in hula hooping (of course), poi, juggling, plate spinning, diabolo, kid's stilts, balance boards, and you are welcome to bring whatever flow toys with you to play with!
Who's it for?
Everyone! Inclusive fun and fitness for adults and children. All children MUST attend with and be supervised by an adult at all times. The sports hall has disabled access.
£4 per adult, £5 for adult plus 1 child, £2 for each additional child. We have plenty of room so no need to book in advance, just turn up.

Forms to Bring With You on Your First Visit
A Liability Waiver Form must be signed and a Parq form must be completed before attending club. By participating, you agree to all terms in the waiver. You can do this at the club, or download them by clicking the links and filling them in at home and bringing them with you on the day. If you have any question as to if you are able to participate in the class, you are responsible for contacting your doctor ahead of time.

What Should I Wear/Bring ?
You can wear anything you like, but you might get hot and sweaty, so loose comfortable clothing and trainers or gym shoes is ideal. But you don't need any special clothing, just come and play! Bring a bottle of water, to keep yourself hydrated.
The Benefits of Hula Hooping & Circus Skills
Hooping makes you smile, makes you forget that this is exercise - it's dancing and playing for adults! While you are having a good time you are doing fantastic things for your body. The workout alone releases endorphins that make you feel happy and energised. Many people find the rhythmic circling of the heavy hoop meditative and calming. It also builds your core strength, strengthens your abdominals (with a balanced diet, you can soon whittle away your waist!), tones arms, thighs and buttocks, develops balance and co-ordination, increases your flexibility, and can enhance your self confidence and creativity.
Circus skills are not only super fun for all the family, but they promote perseverance, concentration, dexterity, improve motor skills, self confidence and get your brain and your body working together.
